Sweden based Progressive giants Opeth to headline the second edition of Summer Storm Festival on the 5th of February in Bangalore.

Summer Storm festival was a ground breaking Rock/Metal festival which saw Lamb of God headline to over 10000 people in its first edition. Rated the top music festival for the year Summer Storm raised the bar for itself and aims to be the biggest rock festival in the coming years to come. Summer Storm is only an excuse to help you break your necks, to vent your frustration out and to support a new wave of Indian prominence in Metal. Bangalore is going to get a little hotter than usual and it won't be because of global warming.
The festival is organized by Overture, a Bangalore based company who have built a niche for themselves in the Live Events scene and Artist Promotion scene. 



Opeth has spent over two decades steadily amassing a body of work that is at once possessed of a fervent and unrelenting devotion to aesthetic progression (and perfection) while simultaneously scaling the summits of power, mysticism and might aspired to by the group's hard rock forefathers in Sabbath, Purple and Zeppelin. 

The band's roots in the doom-laden shade of occult-infused Scandinavian death metal and dark romanticism are undeniable and will never elicit apology. But the transcendent emotional and melodic heights achieved on the brilliantly titled tenth full-length Opeth album, Heritage, marks a new chapter in the storied quintet's career. Band leader, singer, guitarist, songwriter and long-running consistent member Mikael Åkerfeldt has reshaped the pathway forward for his artistic vehicle without sacrificing the hard won spiritualism of previous endeavors. 

India, which is known to have a rapidly burgeoning metal following, will see the band perform for the first ever time at the ‘Summerstorm Festival’ on Feb 5th in Bangalore.
